Baptisms and weddings

Baptism is a partnership between God, parents and the congregation working together for the spiritual well-being of the child. The service of baptism provides for promises to be made by parents and congregation. Parents promise to provide a Christian home where the child will experience the love of God through their care and example of their faith. The congregation promises to provide a community in which the child feels safe and where they will experience the love of God through the leadership of every Church member. Please contact us for more information.

As a Christian community with an inclusive marriage policy, we are delighted to participate in your wedding service as an expression of faith and God’s love. A meeting with the Burnstown United Church minister Rev. Ryan Kim or a wedding service officiate of your choice, will be necessary to discuss and plan the service to choose the best way to express your faith and commitment to one another.

To assist you in your wedding celebration, please contact us.  The wedding booking coordinator will require the following information at the time of booking:

  • Date and time of your wedding?
  • Will you be requiring the services of Rev. Ryan Kim to officiate your wedding?
  • Is an organist required?
  • Approximately how many guests are you expecting?
